Talking Reasons to be cheerful

It's sunny

I don't have any money in tulipe Icelandic banks

I sold the majority of my property "portfolio" at peak prices

I have money in Gold

I'm still earning £400/day and have done for years.

I'm better looking than AtW

With all the Doom and NL moaning going on I think we need a 'why I am happy with my lot' and a 'it's great to be living in the UK thread'.

You'll get burnt
You've not benefitted from higher rates than everybody else
You've nowhere to live.
You can't spend gold in Waitrose
You haven't had a rate increase for years
Isn't everybody.

MM in "half empty" mode.

Perhaps this might inspire those who are a wee bit gloomy ...

If you're wondering what was going through Britney Spears' head during her erratic era, you are not alone - so does she.

"I sit there and I look back and I'm like, 'I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?"' Spears said in an interview to air on MTV on November 30, two days before the release of her new album.

"I've been through a lot in the past two or three years, and there's a lot that people don't know."

The 90-minute special, Britney: For The Record, was executive-produced by Spears' manager Larry Rudolph. It features behind-the-scenes footage of the singer and her talking about her life over the past two years.

She's got a lot to talk about: In that time span, she has got divorced, been through a custody battle, gone to rehab, had very public meltdowns and had one memorably bad performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Now on the comeback trail, Spears is releasing her sixth album, Circus, in the US on December 2, her 27th birthday.

Spears says she's hoping this TV special will "set the record straight" about her life.

I actually respect Spears for the way she has battled back... just like I do anyone who battles back from such a sorry state and can reflect harshly on thier own previous actions.
