Swindon area.
No speed cameras, 1 hour to Bristol, Bath, London, Cheltenham, Oxford, Reading, Newbury, Bracknell.
Only downside is it is near Swindon.

Me, I voted Manchester - I love it here
However, I have friends in Oxfordshire and its soooooo pretty, I quite fancy that area but as I have bugger all idea of the geography of this place.... I have no idea if that is the Thames Valley or not but it's pretty!

Mrs RH and I are entertaining the idea of leaving this bizarre place next year. Can't see us raising miniRHs in the city, and as nice as SW London can be, it's not nice enough for the long term.
Obviously, given my line of work, it would have to have a good selection of media/agency/design firms around to work with.
Any feedback appreciated. RH.

There's a tonne of places around London, with quick transport links into the city, which are all lovely and green, with proper communities etc. Get the best of both worlds. Just don't miss the last train.
Strange actually, our friends are gradually starting to do exactly this now the baby wave is under way. Half my wife's mothers group has moved out of London, and a couple of couples we know as well.

I like the idea of Bristol and the SW. I think. Can't see me living in a dullsville commuter area. By the sea would be a plus. TLG may be right about my line of work and big cities.
