Ray Bailey and his company secretary wife Belinda live in a grand house worth around £1million in Crowborough, East Sussex, where a Porsche and a Land Rover were parked in the drive yesterday.

Insolvency documents seen by MailOnline reveal that in September 2015 HMRC told administrators Mr and Mrs Bailey's company put huge sums into two tax avoidance schemes.

Footage has emerged of a Rydon employee removing the company's logo from a van in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire.

The contractor's refurbishment of the west London building last year - including sub-contracting the installation of allegedly deadly cladding - is likely to be a key issue at the public inquiry into the blaze.

Oh and this is more disturbing - linky

The developers who fixed controversial cladding to Grenfell Tower before the building was ravaged by fire are in line for another £65million housing contract just five miles away.

Rydon Group were the company in charge of a £8.7million project to add the cladding to Grenfell Tower, which experts suspect helped a fire which killed at least 79 people spread through the building.

It emerged today that the firm are set to be handed a huge project to redevelop another housing estate in nearby Ealing.

HSE will take the decision, measure, explore, check what if any laws have been broken, put their case together, then take people to prison via court. They never lose. Ever.

But... It may turn out that this cladding is exactly what was specified. In which case it will be Criminal Negligence. That might be a Police matter as well? I really don't know if I'm honest.

Seems it is the police who will be dealing with the investigation not the HSE even though they, the police, don't have the right experts.

None of that amounts to anything.

Unless it is shown that they were asked to put up cladding of one type and substituted an illegal alternative. And then there is the question of how it was signed off.

Of course not but it shows that if there is a disaster the media will find you guilty first.

Even Hotpoint - the company who manufactured the fridge-freezer - are being questioned. Though since the residents complained of power surges I don't see the point in that.

The sloping of shoulders and the "Blame Game" are in full force now. There's even rumours of resignations...

They would have installed what they were told to install. It's not worth the risk to not do that. Bean Counters would have gone for the cheaper option.

Never mind the quality, feel the width...

I disagree with that. Eg. If you ask a tyre fitter to fit a set of bald (or slick racing tyres) to your car, he would refuse to do so. He knows he would be liable for the consequences.

Good thing about the press they keep people in authority afraid of the consequences.

It seems the cladding & insulation was sub standard because it was cheap.

It managed to be fitted on multiple high rises even though most 10 year olds would tell you it is stupid to put inflammable material outside fireproof compartments basically the same mistake as on the Titanic.

The fridge was faulty, something that was probably made worse by faulty electrics.

The hallways & exits were dangerous and poorly designed.

I'm happy for them to dig up anything relevant that embarrasses those that caused it. If that leads to them to going to jail then great!

Thank God the UK will soon be free of EU elf and safety red tape.

Indeed it might have been some use if the EU had banned the cladding like the Germans & US had.

Though it seems that the stuff that had been used was even below that minimum standard. You would have thought the EU had rules about manufacturing & or importing inflammable building materials across its member states as a basic concept.

any other bremainer bull to follow?
