There used to be a lot of foreign nurses here, primarily Irish, English and Scandinavian although they all seem to have moved on which is a shame as they used to like a good party
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Maybe they felt compelled to "move on" when YOU kept turning up at the parties?

The 'hands on' work has always been conducted by healthcare assistants who used to be known as auxiliary nurses. The nurses also used to be hands on but now they have degrees some of them consider the hands on stuff a bit beneath them.

Sadly it's a reality for you...

You have no notion of reality. Mine or anyone else's.

Funnily enough I remember when I needed a blood test at the GP. The nurse who was treating me seemed so excited to take blood out of me as she clearly hadn't done it for months as all she did was consultations.

Most people in my area are sent to the local hospitals to have blood taken as it's cheaper/easier for the practice.
