Can we put Mayfly in jail for wasting £130 Million on a "Brexit" general election?

If we start jailing every politician who caused £130 mln+ waste then we won't have any prison places left

We should put every Prime Minister in jail immediately on appointment. It just saves a lot of time and effort. (Which SF story is that from?)

Not going to happen of course since the Government is clueless of the impact themselves.
If it isn't hard brexit, you can only have whatever option the EU27 agree to. Even if 80%+ agreed that they want a particular flavour of Brexit - that doesn't cut any ice with the EU27. They have to agree to it as well - and if they did, they would extract a very high price - because they would know it was only option the government was allowed to take.

Therefore the default position has to be a hard brexit - and anything better than that is a bonus.

All bets are off... Brexit still can be stopped - Top Stories - The New European

Her manifesto U-turns, her brazen reversal of values on Brexit, her cowardice on debates, her control-freakery towards colleagues, her pathetic fawning towards Trump and Erdogan, her callous disregard for pensioners and dementia sufferers, her high-handed, bombastic attitude to fellow European leaders, the way she narrows her beady eyes when anyone has the temerity to ask her a question… well, if this is all a bit nuanced, we’re not massive fans.
If the British people go cold on Brexit, then politicians should have nothing to fear about respecting that new will.

If, as we expect it will, the process of Brexit looks like it will inflict permanent harm on the United Kingdom and our economy, our culture and – most importantly – our security, then politicians across the political spectrum should join to reverse it.

Legally, politically and morally, Brexit can be reversed. Today, all bets are off.

Totally agree. I recall one story where all politicians had an explosive collar round their necks. If enough citizens registered disapproval their heads got blown off.

What does "staring down the barrel of a 2nd referendum" mean?
Is Nigel Farage not in favour of democracy?
It's only in totalitarian dictatorships that people aren't allowed to change their mind.
                Hard Brexit now!

Funny you mention "resign" and "retire" in a thread which started off about Nigel Farage, who has retired/resigned/left the job of leader of the NF several times, then comes out of retirement/unresigns/returns when he wants to, or things aren't quite how he'd like them to be.

Isn't Tony Blair the first priority?
