Why is the naming of the bomber being done by US officials and not UK?



Do they know something the UK doesn't?

I guess UK officials probably wanted to keep the lid on it a little, it may have been advantageous to do so.

According to the BBC:

"Salman Abedi has been named by police as the suspected suicide bomber who killed 22 people and injured 59 at Manchester Arena on Monday night.

The 22-year-old was Manchester born and from a family of Libyan origin, the BBC understands."

What drives such a young man to feel such hatred? This isn't a man who has crossed through our borders from afar, once again it is a 'local' involved. Destroying ISIS in the middle east isn't going to stop the radicalised youngsters who were born here.

His family apparently moved to the UK to escape the Gaddafi regime. How can somebody hate us so much, hate our way of life, and our freedoms, even though we provided his family with sanctuary and asylum.
