This is why JC was elected Labour leader mostly by people who don't actually vote Labour.

-citation needed. JC enjoyed incredible support from traditional working class Labour heartlands. Living in the ex-coal-mining north-east for example, his support here is very high. This is proper union country, working-class folk not well-educated champagne socialists who are rather less keen.

At the last Big Meeting (Durham Miners' Gala) which is a hard-core union/Labour event, they retracted their invitations to all Labour MPs who had voted against JC or spoken out against him. Around here he's incredibly popular.

There are contractors here that welcome a return to 28% corp tax and 50+% income tax on earnings above £70K per year?

Are you guys on the bench or on £50 per day or something?
Of course, the alternative with the tories is that you won't have to worry at all about the corporation tax rate as you won't be paying any. The PS IR35 changes will be pushed to the private sector and you'll have all your income taxed as PAYE (and will still pay that low, low corporation tax as well if you continue to operate through your Ltd.). Enjoy!

Hmmmmm, well the jury is out on that one currently, especially as it doesn't look to be going well in the public sector.

A lot have had their rates raised in the public sector to cover it (extra tax), do you think that will wear in the public sector?

I for one, don't think so

Who was it in the CUK news only yesterday who had declared all PSCs outside IR35?

If JC is truly what core labour voters want then I'm sorry to say it shows how fffin stupid they are.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Anyone in particular you're thinking of, I lose track of who's left in Labour these days and have heard of few of them.
Is Sadiq (sp?) a future party leader in waiting?
                    Possibly.

But we can see with Boris the problems of a former Mayor trying to become party leader.

Also Sadiq has the problem that his former once safe seat isn't safe anymore so he will have to find a Labour seat in the surrounding area of SW London that is a safe one where the sitting MP wants to step down.

You mean like Sean Connery style Scottish, where you can put on the accent and paint your face blue, but you don't actually pay any taxes there and contribute?

Yeah, Scotland really needs plenty more like you!!!!
