Isn't this the place which had the riots several years back for something that happened in north london ? Not sure if the victim had any connection to Croydon or was it just the wonderful youths of Croydon needed some shoes/clothes/tv.

Also if you move a few miles from Croydon you get the pasty shops that pretend to be Cornish.

      POSH!!!!

You've never heard of corned beef pasties? Blimey. It's the onion bhajee of the proletariat.

So you've never made spag bol with half a tin of corned beef, leaving the remainder for your corned beef and brown sauce sarnies?

The extent that the champagne socialists have infiltrated this board is truly shocking.

What a blinding idea! Never thought of that.

I normally use mince or tuna, but next time I'll try the corned beef (a whole tin)

It's cheap and that is the point. It's not bad in a baked macaroni with half mince half corned beef.

These are the recipes of the old working class. Not the chav class that spends money on drugs instead of food. The working classes where the mother stayed at home raising kids and the father did a manual job that wasn't well paid. The mother had to be resourceful to make the money last the week.
