Well to be fair they did let them have one a couple of years ago.
And to be practical why should the PM actively undermine the already likely to be tortuous negotiations for BREXT? Nobody in their right mind would try and split the country and leave the EU in one go.
Could be worse though, you could be Catalonian. Mean old Madrid won't even let them have a referendum. Nasty undemocratic Spanish oppressors.Comment
