So it looks as if the Lords may block A50 unless eu nationals are guaranteed the right to stay in the UK.

That's obviously a ridiculous position as we could end up with 3.6m eu nationals staying but also with Scooter and Darmy being sent back to us.

So, as I'm not aware of anyone wanting to send eu nationals home, surely the bill is just amended to say we'll let everyone stay if they let UK nationals stay? That way we have to do it if it is reciprocated.

So A50 still on target.

Well as any Doctor from the EU will be able to rock up and cut you open when we are having a problem with Foreign trained doctors skill & communication ability is probably enough to make you wonder if the medical Passport Idea is a good plan.

There is something very wrong going on there.

Really? Only if they blocked access to CUK from outside the UK.

Ah so its really victimisation and fondling unconscious patients wouldn't have been a problem if he had been called Dr John Smith? If he had been called Mike Mathers giving 10 times the dose would have been ignored and everyone would have popped to the club?

There is obviously a problem, I suspect its because we don't invest much time in checking doctors before they start working here?

To practise in the UK, doctors currently have to pass exams testing their medical knowledge and English language skills.

But a study published last year concluded that the pass mark was set too low – and insisted that foreign doctors who pass are not up to the same standard as newly-trained doctors in Britain.

Researchers at University College London and the University of Cambridge found that international graduates got substantially lower marks in exams for would-be GPs and physicians.

Until the tragedy in 2008, only doctors from outside the European Union faced checks on their competence and language skills.

Following publicity about the case in the Daily Mail and a campaign by Mr Grey’s sons, the General Medical Council was given the power to require that doctors coming from the Continent had an adequate command of English.

In the first 12 months, a staggering 779 European applicants – 45 per cent of those who applied – were rejected as a result. The rules are now being extended to cover nurses, dentists and midwives who come to Britain from the EU.
