Default OK why isn't she in Jail?

A.A. Sponsor Turns in Evans Woman for Underage Party - AugustaCrime.com - Richmond, Columbia, and Aiken County Jail - Reports & Mugshots

According to a sheriff’s report, Lenhardt gave her sponsor this account of the party:

Her kids were with their father one night when her 16-year-old daughter texted her and asked if her and some friends could come over “to party.” Lenhardt replied “come on, let`s party.” Lenhardt allowed her teen daughter and her friends to smoke marijuana and drink her alcohol in her home. The group of minors and her played naked Twister in the living room.

Lenhardt had sex with an 18 year old in the bathroom while the others continued to play Twister. Lenhardt told her sponsor she was still “horny” afterward so she brought her sex toys out in the living room and began to use them on herself in front of the group.

The group and Lenhardt then got in her hot tub naked where the party continued. Lenhardt said she was asleep in her bed and woke up around 3:30 a.m. when she felt someone having sex with her. She thought it was the 18-year-old but realized it was her daughter’s 16-year-old boyfriend. The daughter later told her mother that she felt guilty because the boyfriend’s 10-inch penis was too large for her and he needed to have sex instead with the mother.

Lenhardt also told her sponsor that she had shown her daughter pornographic photos, including photos of her and her current boyfriend having sex.

Missed this bit, did you? "An Evans woman opened up to her Alcoholic Anonymous sponsor and ended up in jail"

    and

"no sexual crime charges were being filed because 16 is the legal age of consent."

Maybe I should start a new merged thread. "Vetran's brainfarts".

Start a post picking on a particular poster how unprofessional. Isn't that a banning offence?

Well done on the second attempt.

OK why isn't she in Jail?
    Because of US law.

Rachel Lehnardt has been sentenced to 12 months probation and a $100 fine for each count of Contributing Delinquency of a Minor, totaling 6 years probation and $600 in fines. Lehnardt was sentenced under the First Offender Act. She must comply with mandatory drug & alcohol testing and treatment.

The penalty for supplying drugs and alcohol to a minor can result in a jail sentence. That doesn't mean it will. The news report says that she was sentenced under the First Offenders Act, which presumably defines appropriate sentences for supplying drugs and alcohol to a minor.

The woman will have been tried under Virginia state law. Maine is a different state - different laws and guidelines.

Why do you think her crime was so horrendous that it merits jail time? Why do you think any of us would be interested in some fairly unshocking news story from some small town, across the atlantic? Are you an American with the usual yank neuroses concerning alcohol and sex?

    Most odd.

She supplied her 16 year old daughter & her friends with Alcohol & Drugs(illegal in all states), she had sex in the bathroom apparently with one of her Daughters friends (legal but yucky) She played naked twister with her daughters friends and used sex toys in front of them (that should be illegal, it is indecent). As a parent of either sex she deserved jail time.

If that's a normal night at NAT towers and you find it 'unshocking' then be careful FLC will want an invite.

For me its pretty scandalous because of the minors and public sex acts.

Considering this is general I say lets post it and let the public decide, if it gets no replies then its obviously of no value. It's not like this is the advanced philosophy forum.

    whatever happened to Freedom?

it's all a bit sordid but if you think that is not happening on a council estate near you then think again.

why a council estate? She was a Sunday school teacher in a nice house. In my limited experience for slutty goodness convent girls from good families are the best.
