Only fecking brainless plebs buy steak from Asda anyway. Get it from your local butcher where it will be much better quality and wrapped in a small sheet of paper.

Sorry, just noticed it was Mailman that posted, which explains it all.

ken clarke on 5live last night

Key thing he said - public spending should be linked to growth in GDP. e.g. GDP increases 2%, public spending increase should be 1% and no exceptions. In this way the proportion of GDP being used for public spending increases but decreases as a proportion of GDP over time, sounded good to me.
NHS is a bottomless pit, most economists accept this, you can chuck money in for ever and it will only make a tiny impact. You certainly won't see improvements proportional to the amounts spent. Having said that, my brother is a consultant Paediatrician and he is coining it after big rises in pay !!

Yeah, how dare they fail to reduce corporation tax to 25%. Wait, what?

They have done or tried to do most of those things haven't they? Tax credits was a bit of a crash and burn though where we ended up with that and the benefits cap I couldn't say.
And abolishing IHT... I mean it'd be great for me personally but it's hardly necessary. And they did (will?) introduce the £1m main residence allowance won't they, or is that gone now?

I'd like to see inheritance tax hiked further:
                    - More incentive to spend what you have rather than take it to the grave
                    - Levels the playing field for future generations

I think it's child TAX credits, not credits that entitle you to children

Why is it important to level the playing field? And why by bringing everyone down to the same level... if IHT was changed to disburse the money directly to the population rther than to HMRC at least it levels things out so some people are better off not everyone the same or worse.
