"why ride a vespa when you can push a lambretta?"

As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding; like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood."

I don't accept responsibility for this. It's the BBC's fault for jumping the gun with an end of year summary - they must have known there'd be more

Rabbi Lionel Blue dies aged 86 - BBC News

You'll only know him if you've heard him on Thought for the Day on Radio 4's Today programme. Last time I heard his dulcet tones, I would have been crossing the River Nene at Thrapstone on the A14 on my way to ExClientCo

Normally spoke a lot of sense, I used to listen occasionally.

This is probably his best IMHO

The real evidence for Jesus and Christianity is in how Jesus and the Christianity based on him manifest themselves in the lives of practicing Christians.
For an Agnostic this is one of the few things that starts to persaude me there is something in it.

Darn it. There's a bloke at a local pub who looks so like him. Now I wont be able to say "There's that bloke who looks like that chap from Status Quo" any more. Still, at two other pubs we've still got a Tony Blackburn and a Daniel Radcliff.

                      Roll on 2017 then!!

Quo were one of the first bands that I really liked. Tragic to hear this news really but I suppose that is what happens when you get older and crinkly.
