Do you actually want a wet room, or just a very large shower there are pros & cons to both

What is your reason (if not too personal) for wanting a wet room?
      Growing old is mandatory
      Growing up is optional

No need for a wet room, big plastic sheet will do.

You don’t need a full wet room then, just have a shower built in so that the drain is in the floor (omits shower tray so now you have level access) & you can fit a bench or fold down chair to sit on whilst showering.

Depending on the size & shape of the room you are modifying you can have a partition which will control water egress (wont soak the rest of the room) & offer privacy. The partition could be a shower wall (glass type thing) or a tiled stud partition

When laying the new floor the will be a slight fall to it so that the water runs to the central drain in the shower area.

A full wet room generally means there is no partition so you end up with soggy toilet rolls & towels

Well said HJ. Wet rooms are generally awful, you can never dry your feet

Sorry if I'm being thick but why can't a "Wetroom" basically be a bathroom with tiles on all walls and floor, flexible adhesive under the floor tiles, anti-mould grout, and sloped slightly to a central drain? :confused

Why would one need pre-made forms/tanks and such like?

You should allow one square meter of material per each of the "actors", so I've heard.
