The average population density for the South East was 450 residents per sq km.

That's more densely populated than India.

And it's not just a question of space. More important is infrastructure. Haven't you noticed how crowded it is when you take a train, drive your car anywhere, visit a hospital A&E department?
But it brings such cultural delights, even if the ambulance takes 50 mins in traffic to take you or a family member to A&E where you can die on a trolley in a corridor due to overcrowding. It's wonderful stuff isn't it mr Blair, creator of said "boom". Mr Blair, oh sorry you're not here are you, you live on one of the global elite hyper yachts, with the other billionaires...

Yep more pressure on housing, transport and the NHS not great seeing as it's creaking at present. It's the equivalent to adding the entire population of Cardiff to the country per year if it continues.

So your point is that the population needs to be more evenly distributed and that immigration isn't a problem at all?

And none of those things were true before the big increase in immigration?

The NHS is kept running by Immigrants, I am currently contracted in the NHS and every department is dependant on it's immigrant labour force, they are currently actively seeking nurses in the Philippines, from the top consultants down the whole operation is run by immigrants.

No need to worry about MRSA superbug here, there is a whole army of immigrant labour keeping it at bay.

PS: most of those polish and Latvian cleaners are very fine Lady's to look at.

Well of course. But large scale immigration has exacerbated the situation

I'm not sure what your point is?

My point is the problems aren't caused by immigration, as was being suggested. The reason the south east is so overcrowded is the shear number of northerners, scots, welsh etc. that have moved to the more prosperous south east over the decades, and not because of the increase in immigration in the last 10 years. And nobody's running around hysterically complaining about pressure on the NHS, schools, houses etc. from all those people, even though it's clear migration within the country causes exactly the same issues.

As Monkey says it's deeply twisted to claim immigration puts pressure on the NHS when the only reason the NHS works at all is because of the large number of immigrants they employ.
