BRILLO PAD UPDATE - by MRS BP (longsuffering)
BP started the Quin yesterday with high spirits and swam through vole-infested waters for six-plus hours. At which point he realised he probably wasn't going to make the finish line before dark, when the voles turn nasty. A quick word with the organiser and he was permitted to continue the race in the "Triple" rather than the "Quin". Obviously this is only marginally less barking, but he is bitterly disappointed with himself and the less said about how he feels about his swimming coach the better. So now he is continuing his cycling tour of the New Forest, flicking frogspawn out of his ears and generally feeling a bit gloomy. Particularly when he thinks about the 75 mile run he'll enjoy once the cycling tour is over. I shall post any major news as or when it happens, particularly for those with a financial interest in this malarky.Comment
