Default ITonlinelearning.co.uk has anyone used this training company

    Good Afternoon,

I have recieved an email from a friend regarding some courses being offered by the above provider.

    Url : Site Not Found

The courses do look cheaper but has anyone here used them before I give them my hard earned cash.

Are they legit? How is their support? Is the material any good? And someone has had any issued please, share them.

Assuming you're not just spamming some training site...

By a book. Or two. It's far cheaper. And you'll learn a hell of a lot more.

    Hi,
I work for ITonlinelearning and we are very transparent about our training and encourage all prospective students to trial our training first. You can have full access to any of the courses you are interested in for a 2 day period to allow you to experience our training properly before buying. (I do understand your concerns as there some questionable companies out there.)

Our strength is that we offer a cost effective training solution for IT Profesionals wanting to certify to validate /upgrade their skills.

Our courses are accredited e-learning taken from the official syllabus and made into an interactive, multi-media rich training package that offers a number of key advantages over classroom learning.

I am happy to talk to you directly via email or phone to answer any or all questions you may have and set you up with a free trial of our courses. I can assure you we do not do any hard selling.

If you would like to learn alittle more about me and the company please feel free to check me out further on Linkedin as well.

I hope this helps and I look forward to hearing from you.

Happy new year to all that ready this.

    Thanks
    Bo

Since this thread has been resurrected anyway...

A few years back I registered for a year's worth of SkillsPride courses and found the soft skills stuff useful, and the techie stuff can be skimmed enough to blag an awareness in an interview. I thought it was well worth the 100 or whatever it is; it certainly gives enough info to gain an ITIL Foundation and a few other noddy, sorry, 'entry-level' qualifications.

Sorry to resurrect this thread by I have had recent dealings with this company that I think people should be aware of.

I was lured in to this training company by a recruitment agency who posted a job advert on TotalJobs.com, who, after giving me a telephone interview offered me a tech support job providing that I get Comptia A+ certification. I have reason to believe that this recruitment agency (ITOL), are not actually a recruitment agency, but perhaps employees of ITOnlineTraining? I'll let you guys decide.

They offered me a course to get certified, they (Stacy) told me that my exam fee's would be included in the bundle, however after paying, I received my invoice which stated that my exam fee's were not included. I rang them and politely questioned Stacy about this, she did not confirm that I would receive official Comptia A+ certification, and advised me that the certificates were their own 'in-house' printed certificates!

This is called mis-representation. I have made many more attempts to contact them and cancel my course and get a refund. Instead of replying to my query, they instead sent me a link to download the course materials. This is because their terms and conditions state that after downloading course material, you no longer have the right to cancel! Very sneaky indeed.

I am currently in proceedings with my bank, who are siding with me on this matter; they are going to reverse the transaction and get my money back. The only thing left for me to do is warn others.

The only reason I paid them was because it was cheaper than paying for the exams via PearsonVue, I already had my own study materials. I thought that maybe the training companies had discount exam vouchers.

A brief search turns up this
    Home - ITOL Recruitment

    and this
    https://www.itonlinelearning.com/

As the companies have the same address, I'd say it's a pretty good chance that they are the same outfit. Itol Recruitment is not listed at Companies House.

If what you say is correct, it does sound like they are using questionable tactics to persuade you to take their training.

If you feel strongly about it, you can report it here Recruitment scams | Action Fraud

I've used them before, my experience was fine. The courses they offer are similar to the ones on sites like Udemy, etc. The one I took had some online labs too which were pretty good.

Default Response to Previous Posts from ITonlinelearning

    Hi,

We welcome feedback both positive and negative

However, having been made aware of this post here in August 2016 we felt we needed to add our own feedback to this in order to clarify some facts.

Our courses are normally sold excluding exams and this is made very clear on our webpages, emails and the invoice which highlighted this to the original poster.

Unfortunately, the original poster has not mentioned that as a result of this confusion, that once we spoke with him he was given a full refund.

With regards to ITOL Recruitment, they were an independent recruitment consultancy operating from the same building in which we are based. For a period of 6 months they were referring candidates to us who did not have the certifications required to work in the IT roles they had available. Any candidates completing the courses would then be referred back on completion of the CompTIA A+ exams.

Unfortunately, we felt that they were over promising to a number of candidates and therefore we decided to end this relationship with them in September 2016. We no longer receive any referrals from ITOL Recruitment.

As a company we specialise in providing individuals with accredited IT and Project Management courses and pride ourselves in the level of advise and guidance our consultants provide candidates looking to get ahead in the chosen careers.

We welcome feedback both positive and negative

Udemy has got more content, reviews, instructors. So you can pick and choose. And those courses don't cost a fortune. They have sale going on just like DFS. So make sure you wait for a few days and don't pay any more than 15 for a course.
