Fair question. I dont think that there is a direct requirement, but there are consequences for you if you dont check references and problems then arise. Our clients insist that references are taken (though not necessarily subjective views on competence and skill).Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment
