    Whats the going rate in London for a Highways Engineer?

        Not a clue. I'd say £300 a day as that is what a lot of engineery type jobs I have seen are going at.

              Yes - £300/day in London sounded tempting until I looked up the cost of a travelodge and considered the travel expenses. I'd have about £180/day left! Travelodge is about £90/night down there.

                To rent a flat short term - £175/week will get you an OK 1 bedroom flat in an OK place.

                    Presumably you're not going to base your decision on the responses to your post.

                    Check out job serve, or talk to an agent.

                    You never know the going rate might be £1000 / day.

                    The south circular could do with some widening.
