The UK Visa reforms in April should be really starting to bite right about know as those who managed to sneek in a 6 month Visa in early April under the old rules could still be onsite.

If so i can fully believe that the abuse continued right through the summer and now an absolute shed-load of Visas will expire on 6th October (in just over 1 weeks time).

The last Visas issued under the old rules will expire on 6th April 2018 so between now and then there should be a tightening of the market.

did I get the above right ?

I've heard that some companies are trying to get around this by having some offshore workers on 'training' visas. No real training, obviously...

You don't get to that level of lying without training do you?
