Which comments do you object to?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

        Reciprocal?

        Hi SS!

Where in Auckland is Beach Heaven? Have rellies in several parts of Auckland from Kohi to Manacau - usually stay with a cousin in Botany Down.

If I can help at all let me know - will PM you with some details. I am looking to come the other way for a while so if you have any tips on agencies then let me know.

In the meantime, enjoy your summer and good luck with the search!

Do you really need 3 guesses?

Crude and offensive ones mainly! Though I am sure they will be defended as "just a bit of fun....!"

I have had a few emails about people wanting to work in NZ, so I might start a new thread. There are a few plusses and minuses, but in general I highly recommend it.

            On the up side,
            - There are just 4 million people in a country the size of the UK
            - On the whole, it is a safe, no nasty bugs or snakes and the weather is good
            - The people are friendly
            - If you are coming from the UK, it is cheap.
            - You can let your kids play on the street and they probably won’t be abducted
            - No terrorism
            - The fishing and diving are fantastic
            - less tax

            On the down side
            - Pay is about 1/2 what you get in the UK
            - The market is small so there aren’t as many jobs around, especially if you want to specialise
            - It is a long, long way from the rest of the world
            - It can be hard adjusting to a new culture

I will put the main agency URL’s in the next post, but you are welcome to PM me

Yes, and don't forget all the women we take away from you... and how we live off your taxes and delinquency, etc. etc.

I came here about a month ago, and have already been working in my first contract for more than 3 weeks, which has just been extended. Considering that english is only a second language to me and that I only have 7, compared to your 10 years (of exp.) further stresses the point.

You shouldn't have a problem finding a job with your skills at all and by all means, piss these annoying little whiners off by moving here.

                    Is this your mob?

Some Polish migrants in the UK, meanwhile, were being supported in their "unpleasant" behaviour by British nationalist and Neo-Nazi groups, said Dr Bleszynska, who is professor of multicultural education at Warsaw University.

Many Poles were highly qualified and found it easy to find work in the UK, Dr Bleszynska said.

But others, who were less well-educated, sometimes found it difficult to find jobs and were not accustomed to the multiracial nature of British society.

In particular, they found it difficult to understand "positive discrimination," which they viewed simply as "negative discrimination".

In areas such as Ealing, in West London, Polish "ghettos" were forming, Dr Bleszynska claimed, with some young Poles unable to find work but also unable to return home.

"They are ashamed to come back to tell their friends and family, I am sorry I was not successful," she said.

They sometimes faced "very unpleasant behaviour" when competing for jobs with British people, she said, but their behaviour in response was "also not pleasant".

                      No, they're Polish, I'm Hungarian.

BTW, how is this relevant? Half of the team on project is aussie, another quarter is south-african, and you're not bitching about them all day long.

Also, they just can't get proper contractors in from the agents, client is constantly looking and struggling with ridiculous CVs.

I have been accepted for the current role, even though I did not have the required exp. in 3 fields out of the mentioned four. There is a definite shortage of good IT people in London, there's no way protectionism is gonna help you with that.

People on this board are earning at least twice the national average.

                      Cry me a freakin' river.
