I take it you've never had a conversation with HMRC before? Every single telephone conversation I've had with them has been an argument. The morons they employ are the most ignorant, uneducated, unhelpful and rude cretins on the face of planet earth. It's clear they are jobsworths and have never ran their own business before. I wouldn't willingly phone them up and tbh when I see an incoming call that looks like them (can't remember the numeric prefix), I just don't bother answering. Mate of mine has had the same experiences with them putting the phone down on him twice.

All the large and medium sized private sector clients I've had do some form of Display Screen Assessment at the start of my contract. They then get you bits e.g. foot rests, different chair if you have problems.

Though most of the time people who know they have problems are proactive and sort things like raising their desk up or bringing their own keyboard themselves before they have issues.

The reason it isn't a BIK is because it is part of Health and Safety legislation, plus the company doesn't want to be sued by the employee and also risk prosecution by the HSE.

Many moons ago I worked in a department for a large company as a temp. They had agreed out of court settlements with a couple of women in their typing pool, so we were doing a programme informing all their workers on the Display Screen Regulations.

For what it's worth, back in my days as a permie my employer had a physio available as part of their occupational health regime, and there was no mention of BiK for any recipient of the service.
If I genuinely believed the problem was caused at work, and particularly if I could get a note from my physio confirming it was the likely cause, then I would have no compunction about charging physio sessions back to my company. I haven't actually ever done so, though

I was about to post a question related to this but I just found this thread.

I've had lots of Osteopath sessions to help me with a neck injury caused by RSI (all work related). I haven't claimed any of them as expense. Is this expensible? Should I be asking for invoices that I can use to claim against?

Looking back through the thread it seems there is no definitive answer. However I suspect it could lead to a whole heap of trouble.

Yep it would be as it is related to Health and Safety regulations especially display screen ones.

And yes get invoices plus also get a note or (maybe cheaper to) get an extract of your GP medical records showing it's work related simply because an osteopath is an alternative therapist, and whether their treatment is useful or not is debatable.
