Firstly, congratulations and welcome to contracting.

Secondly, Its not as rosy as you think so save as much as you can.

Thirdly, Finance is in a tough position at the moment whether you choose to accept it or not.

Fourthly, Big changes are coming for one man band ltd companies. Be ready for it. Someone has to pay for an upcoming campaign in Syria.

Lastly, Enjoy and see you at some point on the inevitable IB cuts rates by 10% thread.

Some will sprout on about ‘being a specialist’ - all bull. If the client is looking for a certain skill set and you can fill that skill set then that’s what matters. I am a BAPM with a technical development background and excellent business knowledge. This is what the client wanted. Knowing the right people also helps
All bull, from people with many more years experience than you?

What is a BAPM, never heard of that role, did you make it up?
What is the actual role you ended up doing is it a BA or PM role?

        a few loudmouths
Read you post, again, seems you are, now, giving as much attitude as you were given.

Knowing the right people also helps
So, in reality, despite playing Billy Big Potatoes, you were handed it on a plate?

Anyways, good luck with it all.

Just to answer the actual question the OP asked...

A vast majority of questions that newbies ask can be found using the search. This is detailed in the link below.

          http://forums.contractoruk.com/welco...uk-forums.html

An example of using this to find the OP's answer is..

Couple of 100 threads on the this topic to dig through.

I think it's a typo, meant to be BARM (cake).

Doesn't that normally pay £700 PD, in IB

                      Fair play OP. Well done.

I think there are some on here who have such sad lives that they really do enjoy thinking they're important.

Its human nature. I used to work as a steward in a large stadium (just so I got to see the games for free).

You could almost guarantee that the person who thought it was his mission to be the most awkward, obnoxious, and downright disagreeable to members of the public had a day job of something mundane and boring with no responsibility. Of course, give them an orange jacket and they relish the chance to show off how much power they have.

                      Same here - online version.
