Has anybody had a positive experience with them?

I've heard plenty of stories about fake job postings for CV farming and also that they're bad payers with long payment terms.

I've never had an interview from them but they advertise a lot, like take up 50% on any search results. I automatically discount anything from them but wondering should I...

Just thinking surely there must be someone out there who has actually been placed by them....?

Big player on the Manchester recruitment scene but never had an interview from them. Prefer Spring and a couple of others when based up there. Allan at Recital is a great guy - proper account manager type recruiter rather than sales drone; takes you out for lunch to thank you for renewing, etc.

Yeah, I'm north west so that's probably why I see a lot of them.

I've had a couple from CF who give the full sales spiel and then disappear. Proper time wasters

They got me my first contract which was a goodun'. But that particular agent left a couple of years later. I've had bad experiences with them also. Now I would engage with them, cautiously.

Their contracts usually need adjusting to be more IR35 friendly, but dealing with them and getting paid I never had any issues

If you do engage with them make sure the salesman ...err... consultant holds a current rod licence from the Environment Agency. They'll want a much higher level of disclosure from you.
