Teresa May backs down on red line that ECJ rulings can't apply to Britain

May climbs down from her European law Brexit red-line - Business Insider

    Really, Teresa?
Didn't you get the memo from Liam? He reckons the UK has all the cards in the negs.

More and more laughing stock material. Would be better if we just pulled out and took the hit.
    Hard Brexit now!

It is so clear that the government will go round in circles and end up as an associate EU member through the backdoor. If anyone really honestly looks into the consequences of WTO rules it really is dire. It means basically on day one after Brexit companies being unable to export.

It aint going to happen and the UK will cave as they play chicken with the EU.

      I'm alright Jack

Only for cross-border cases, which is to be expected.

Now get back in your cage and keep scanning for those anti-Brexit headlines to post on here!

It will apply to domestic cases as well. If a foreign company is operating in the UK it will use the ECJ or equivalent. The government won't be allowed to discriminate between domestic UK and EU companies.

Game, set and match to the EU.

It's not like you have to look very hard for them.

But it's encouraging that they've stopped claiming that Brexit is going to work out fine.

You should zee all the news coverage Brexit is getting in Germany

It is rather amazing how quickly the UK can go from a respected country on the world table to the laughing stalk of Europe in so few months.
