                  I am afraid that we British are not terribly adept at the whole "surrender" thingy, but no doubt there is a long established EU procedure that deals with such issues.
                  If not we could always ask the French......or the Germans.....or the Italians etc......

                  That is if all the EU movers and shakers are not too bogged down with trying to organise that big piss-up they were trumpeting the other day.
