Angry Getting rid of SJD, looking for Glasgow accountant reccomendations

Hi Guys,

I've had no end of trouble recently with the Scottish branch of SJD, in such that days go by without anyone replying to emails, curious sounding advice, what looks to me like temporary staff handling admin work incorrectly, their registered address service not forwarding mail, losing mail sent to them (which could be Royal Mail's fault to be fair) etc.

Can anyone reccommend a reasonably decent Contractor friendly alternative?

Do your own books, payroll, returns... it's the way forward.

Well after the last few weeks of SJD service I'm really starting to weigh up taking this on, and keep the £116.00 every month.

Nixon Williams are £60+VAT and I've found them very helpful so far.

Please do send me a mail with the details and I will sort this out for you.

simonatsjdaccountancy.com

I would please ask that you edit your initial post as there is at least one potentially libellous remark in there.

Not had a prob with SJD, apart from the fact that I believe they should do the P11D as they already have the iinfo.....

Very professional.

Nice to know the competition are still up to their usual tricks.

I think this thread should be deleted, if people have a problem with providers they should take the matter up personally, not use a forum to slate them.
