    working abroad as travel agent

Hi there all helpful people, I would have a very straightforward question:

How would taxation work if there is a UK travel agency (private limited company) that Im director and paye employee in one person. The ltd gets its customers worldwide, mostly from UK, and organises their holidays in spain. I would be the agent who waits the guests in spain and provide the day-to-day activities so actively working with them in spain. I'm interested in both the company taxation/paye rules and the taxing as employee.

I guess, but this is just a guess, the company will tax and pay by uk rules, i tax as director based on uk self-assessment rules and tax as employee in spain but here Im confused of who and where to pay NI. will my company pay employers NI in uk and me paying in spain? can i pay voluntary ni in uk? i plan to live most of the year in spain.

    thanks a lot
    Regards
    Tom

Hi Tom, you'd probably be best to ask your accountant, but my take on it would be:
    UK company pays UK tax.
Employee based in Spain pays Spanish tax.
You can pay voluntary NICs while abroad, no problem with that. It's only a few pounds a month.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore
