remote job for a US-based employer

    Good evening all,
I am a foreign (EU) national living in the UK and I was offered a remote job as a SysAdmin for a USA based startup who has no presence or other employees in the UK. My contract stipulates that:
The position is described as a “full time” one, with no defined working hours and days though, alongside with the freedom to provide my services whenever and wherever I choose from, for a standard salary per year.
My employment with the Company will be “at will,” meaning that either me or the Company may terminate my employment at any time and for any reason, with or without cause. My contract is NY law governed.
Furthermore, perhaps in the near future I’ll start taking on side projects along with-what it seems as-my main stream of income too. My question is about my option of getting into some sort of a sole-trader set-up or do I have to operate through a DPNI (or some other) scheme-any suggestions/possible pitfalls? Also does my employer get affected and possibly creates a permanent establishment in the UK through my activities?
Any help will get much appreciated!
