    Members Voluntary Liquidation

    Hi,

I've been working as an IT Contractor for the last 2 years and have been offered an opportunity to go permie with different company but same parent company.

My accountant has given me the cold shoulder when discussing MVL and potentially entrepreneur relief. Is MVL still a valid option when going permie? Has the March 2016 budget changes made this route more risky?

    Regards,

    Richard

Yes, it is still an option if you do not intend to return to contracting again (at least not as self-employed or as a new Ltd co) within 2 years of your final distribution.

Go look at MVLonline. The owner posts here a lot and knows everything there is to know about it.

As always very good advice to the poster. Perhaps their accountant is worried about losing the fee or doesn't fully grasp the changes.
