Accountant claiming 85-90% of net profit ... are they reliable?

I would like to have some suggestion because I am new as contractor and I saw in internet many accountants claiming up to 90% net from your gross income .. are they good accountant?
Recently one of them suggested me a company director loan putting my company in debit concluding that I will not be able to explain to the HRMC why I did it... I think in this way I couldn't neither ask a bank loan in the future...what do you think?
Many on them also are not providing reference with the excuse that they are covered by the privacy.....

No, they are not good accountants, they are trying to get you into trouble with HMRC. Look here http://forums.contractoruk.com/hmrc-...following.html

If you use them you'll probably end up posting in here HMRC Scheme Enquiries

Find an accountant who will provide an accounting service for around £100 pm.

I agree with Cojaks response, there a lot of these type of schemes that some Accountants use to get clients in the door. Normally if it looks too good to be true, then it is.

There are plenty of contractor specialist Accountants that charge a competitive fee for a good service.
