    Agent Montpelier

I've read on here recently about folk asking how to get back copies of all HMRC correspondence from the past.

Would Montpelier not have copies of all correspondence on file provided they were listed as the individual's agent from a certain point in time?

HMRC didn't always consistently send copies to Montpelier.

DR - d00gie and few of the other CUK regulars do pop in from time to time. Some come to troll but most are genuinely interested and supportive.
d00gie - a few here have had APN warning notices and some have had APNs. Montpelier will be appealing these. We have had our first-tier-tax-tribunal and believe we will get a decision in April. It then goes to upper-tier-tax-tribunal, appeal court and supreme court. But you have to appeal to move to the next step if you lose.

HMRC have made a major screw up by negotiating a settlement with someone else suffering s58(but de-graff not montpelier). This could well lead to a different first-tier-tax-tribunal!

After 7 years of this soap opera there are clearly many more episodes so stay tuned.

A friend of mine received APN demand a few days back covering 04/05 and 05/06. The figures for 04/05 were roughly double what was in Govt Gateway. He called HMRC who eventually admitted thy had made a mistake and the Govt Gateway figures were correct !

They also advised Interest and NI will be billed at a separate time. When pushed on what the interest figures were they advised they do t deal with that !

He has advised MP of this detail

                      Mad
