Serious question - Where would you choose to live in or near (in the UK) for quality of life, and a steady contracting income, except London? And why?

Mrs RH and I are entertaining the idea of leaving this bizarre place next year. Can't see us raising miniRHs in the city, and as nice as SW London can be, it's not nice enough for the long term.

Obviously, given my line of work, it would have to have a good selection of media/agency/design firms around to work with.
