Default Do i need an accountant for the whole year? (as a limited company)

Hi all,

Ive just paid an accountant to set my limited company up. Its my first time contracting and they have done the paperwork and charged me £150. I am happy with this but they have said they want me to sign up to 1 yr of payments.

Strangely enough! Im an accountant myself and im hoping i can do the monthly things myself, i just think ill need a bit of help with VAT and 1st year year end accounts.

Should i sign up for this year or is it better to pay when i need help? Ive read a few threads here and people seem mixed in their views.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
